Dikeside Boating Site

Area Status: Open

This boating site is located on Rampart Reservoir. Swimming, wading and all body contact with the water in the reservoir is prohibited. Coast guard approved life jackets are required for every person onboard every watercraft, including kayaks, paddleboards and canoes.

At a Glance

Operational Hours: When the season is open, trailered and internal-combustion powered watercraft will be allowed Thursdays through Sundays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., when Colorado Parks and Wildlife is performing ANS inspections. Hand launched watercraft may be launched anyday.
Fees: $11.00 per vehicle day-use fee.
Open Season: May 5 - Oct. 6
Usage: Heavy
Water: available at Promontory Picnic Area
Restroom: Vault toilets

General Information

Directions:

From Colorado Springs, Colorado, travel west on Hwy 24 for about 18 miles to Woodland Park. Turn north on Baldwin (which turns into Rampart Range Road). Go about 2 miles to Loy Creek Road turn right and then to FDR 300 turn right (Rampart Range Road). Follow signs. Rampart Reservoir entrance is about 4 miles further on the left side of the road.
