Chalk Lake Fishing Site
Chalk Lake Fishing Site is located next to the Chalk Lake Campground and is a great family fishing spot with rainbow, brook and brown trout. Chalk Lake is a small lake, about 12 acres in size and is regularly stocked for fishing. Motorized boats are not allowed on the lake.

Directions:
From Buena Vista, Colorado, travel south for 7 miles on Highway 285 to County Road 162. Turn right on County Road 162 and travel west passing the Mt. Princeton Hot Springs resort (private) for 8 miles. The lake is located about 0.10 miles past the entrance to the campground.
General Notes:
Chalk Lake is routinely stocked with rainbow trout from the nearby Chalk Cliffs fish hatchery. This is a great lake for families of all ages. Motorized boats are not permitted on the lake. A valid Colorado fishing license is required.

Ample parking available for small RVs and passenger vehicles.

This is a wonderful lake for fishing with children. The shoreline is level and easy to walk around. It is routinely stocked with rainbow trout.
