O'Haver Lake Campground

  

O'Haver Campground sits at an elevation of 9,200 feet, with ponderosa pines and aspen. It is located on the shores of O'Haver Lake, which is about 15 acres in size. This facility has 31 sites and it is a very popular destination that is often full on the weekends.

Reservations: Phone 877-444-6777 or visit www.recreation.gov at least 4 days in advance. Friday and Saturday night minimum required stay on weekends. 3 nights minimum on holiday weekends. Walk-ups are exempt from the nightly minimum.

Fees
$22.00 fee per site for overnight camping. Two (2) vehicles or one (1) RV per site is included in the camping fee. $6.00 for a third vehicle. 
 
$7.00 fee for day use if not camping overnight.
 
Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. Self-servicing fee tube is available.
 
First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the SAME NIGHT.
 
Golden Age and Golden Access Cardholder: 50% discount off the camping fee only.

Restrictions: The following restrictions apply to this campground:
  • Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle (RV).
  • Maximum RV length is 45 ft.
  • Dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks.
  • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground.

The Interagency Senior Pass (previously known as the Golden Age Pass) and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount at concessionaire run campsites. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.

General Information

Directions:

From Salida, Colorado, travel west on Highway 50 to Poncha Springs. Turn south on Hwy 285 for 5 miles. Turn right and go west on County Road 200 for 2.3 miles. Go west on County Road 202 for 2.5 miles.


Accessibility:

This site is not universally accessible. An accessible fishing pier is located along the southwest side of the lake.


Parking:

Parking is limited to the parking spurs provided with each campsite. Parking is available in the "Day-Use" area located in the center of the campground.

 

ATV/OHV parking is available at the entrance to the campground. ATV's ARE NOT PERMITTED WITHIN CAMPGROUND.
