Spring Creek Trailhead

The Spring Creek Trailhead offers picnicking, hiking and fishing opportunities. Three picnic sites, a restroom and a trash receptacle are available. This area is usually open May to October, depending on snow conditions. Access Dodgeton Trail #1302 from this trailhead.
All dates are weather dependent. All services may not be available early or late in the season.

Directions:From La Veta, travel south on State Highway 12.
General Notes:
Weather in the summer is generally mild with warm days and cool nights; highs in the 80s and lows in the 40s. Afternoon thunderstorms are a common occurrence. Spring and fall weather is usually dry and sunny with highs in the 60s and lows in the 30s.
