Wilkerson Pass Visitor Center is located on US-24, twelve miles west of Lake George. It is a great spot to stop and stretch your legs; there's even a 0.9 mile loop interpretive trail for a nice walk. Wilkerson Pass offers fantastic views of South Park and the Sawatch and Mosquito Ranges. The Visitor Center is currently being operated by the Park County Department of Heritage, Tourism, and Community Development. Fantastic volunteers are available to assist guests with many of their travel needs.

Accessibility:

This site is accessible most of the year with two restrooms open throughout the year.  The visitor center is open seasonally during summers.


Parking:

There is generally ample parking available.

Located on Highway 24, twelve miles west of Lake George.

Viewing Scenery

There are impressive views of South Park and the Mosquito and Sawatch Ranges.

The Puma Point Trail is an easy .9 loop offering a quick walk through meadow and aspen and ponderosa stands.

The Visitor Center operates each year from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
