This area is intended to be a place where the imprint of humans is substantially unnoticed; where natural processes are the primary influences, and human activity is limited to primitive recreation and minimum tools. General Information

Directions:

The Greenhorn Trail has two trailheads access points.The first one is located near the town of Rye, CO. Head west through Rye on Main Street, then right on Cuerna Verde Rd. to the end. The second trailhead may be accessed from State Highway 165. Turn onto FSR 360 then take FSR 369 to the trailhead.
