Riverside Campground

Area Status: Closed

Riverside Campground is located two miles southwest of Lake George, Colorado on County Road 96. It has 18 campsites (11 walk-in sites). Elevation is 8,000 feet. Services are reduced outside of the peak summer season.

Reservations:	Reservations for the summer season and can be made 180 days in advance maxium, and 4 days in advance minimum, by calling 1-877-444-6777 or by visiting recreation.gov. There is a two-night minimum stay for weekends and a three-night minimum stay for holidays. Outside of the summer season, it is first come-first served.

Fees:	$20 summer season camping fee. $8 day use fee.
Restrictions:	Maximum RV length is 30 feet. There are no hook-ups at this campground. Quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. No more than 14 consecutive night stay. Pets must be leashed. Campfires in provided fire rings only and must be completely extinguished before leaving. No refunds for bad weather.

General Information

Directions:

From Lake George, turn off Highway 24 onto County Road 96. Follow the road for about one mile into Eleven Mile Canyon. Riverside Campground is located on the left side not far from Eleven Mile Canyon entrance.

Parking:

Parking is available at each campsite which can accommodate up to two vehicles.
