Manitou Lake Picnic Area

  

Manitou Lake is a 5-acre reservoir where the entire family can enjoy fishing and hiking Trail #670 around the lake. Due to easy area access and popularity, fishing occurs year-round in the reservoir. All sites have tables, fire grates, and trash collection.

Information Center: An asphalt bike trail #699, approx. 4.2 miles long, connects all the campgrounds and picnic areas. There are 2 group campgrounds-Pike Community and Red Rocks.

General Information

Directions:

From Colorado Springs, travel on US Highway 24 approximately 18 miles to Woodland Park. Take Highway 67 north approximately 7 miles. Manitou Lake is on the right (east) side of the highway one mile north of Colorado Campground.


General Notes:

To reserve the pavillion visit www.recreation.gov. Manitou Lake Pavilion is a day use facility with no overnight stays allowed. In addition to the $50 fee for the pavilion, there will be $7.00 per vehicle fee paid upon arrival. For larger groups which might utilize a bus, the vehicle fee is $50.00. The facility is limited to 50 occupants. No discount is accepted for use of this facility.
