Platte River Trail


Platte River Trail provides access to the South Platte River.  It is an easy to moderate 3 mile hike through forest and meadow.  Portions of this trail were impacted by the 2002 Hayman Fire and the trail may not be well defined in some areas.

General Information

Directions:

From Lake George, turn north on County Road 77 (Tarryall Road) for one mile to Forest Road 112.  Turn right and follow Forest Road 112 to the trailhead, which is about one mile past Happy Meadows Campground.


Accessibility:

This trail is generally accessible year round; however, access may be more difficult in the winter months.


Parking:

There is a parking spot at the trailhead.
