Abe Lee Angler

Abe Lee Fishing Site is located on the south shore of Turquoise Lake, six miles west of Leadville. Good fishing plus a plethora of other recreational opportunities are available at this popular lake.

Turquoise Lake is stocked with rainbow trout and kokanee. Other species in the lake include brown, cutthroat, and brook trout. Turquoise Lake is rated as fair to good fishing. This is a day use area which closes at 10 p.m. Camping is not allowed.

Parking:

Free parking is available at the Abe Lee Fishing Site until 10:00 PM


Directions:

From Harrison Street in Leadville, turn onto West Sixth Street to County Road 4. Make a right onto County Road 4 at the T and drive to County Road 9 to the Sugarloaf Dam Site. From the Dam, drive approximately 1 mile and turn left onto the road to Abe Lee Fishing Site.
