
May Queen Campground is located at the far western end of Turquoise Lake in a shaded lodgepole pine forest at an elevation of 9,900 feet. It is near the Charles Boustead Memorial Tunnel and adjacent to a day use/picnic area, which offers easy angler access to the lake. You can also access the Turquoise Lake Nature Trail for a leisurely walk around the lake.
Firewood can be purchased at the campground. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings, potable water, and vault toilets. Accessible sites are located along the southern end of the campground loop. During weekdays, usage is moderate, but heavy on weekends.

Fees |
$24.00 fee per site for overnight camping. Two (2) vehicles or one (1) RV per site is included in the camping fee. $6.00 for a third vehicle.
$7.00 fee for day use if not camping overnight.
Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. Self-servicing fee tube is available.
First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the FIRST NIGHT.

The following restrictions apply to this campground:
- Maximum 8 persons per site: 2 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 recreation vehicle.
- Dogs must be leashed at all times.
- No discharge of firearms or fireworks.
- Only licensed vehicles can operate inside campground.
- Camping is NOT ALLOWED behind a LOCKED GATE.
