Conejos Campground

Area Status: Closed

on Forest Rd 250, 6.6 miles north of highway 17

There is fishing access to the Conejos River and Spectacle Lake. The lake is year-round, with winter ice-fishing. Spectacle Lake Trail 730 begins 1/2 mile south on Forest Road 250. Ruybalid Trail 855 and Notch Trail 729 are also accessible.

General Information

Directions: From Antonito, CO, take US 285 south 0.3 miles to Hwy 17. Continue straight on Hwy 17 and go 21.9 miles to Platoro sign (Forest Rd. 250). At sign, turn right onto Rd. 250 (dirt) and go 6.6 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.
