General Information

Directions:

From White City, OR, turn right (east) onto State Highway 140. Continue approximately 28.3 miles to the junction with Forest Road 37 (Big Elk Road). Turn right (south), and continue approximately 2.25 miles to the junction with Forest Road 3705. Continue on 3705 to intersection with Forest Road 3720, turn left; continue for approximately 0.1 mile to the trailhead parking on the right. Shelter is accessed by foot.

From Klamath Falls, OR, travel west on State Highway 140 to Forest Road 37 (Big Elk Road), and turn left (south). Continue approximately 2.25 miles to the junction with Forest Road 3705. Continue on 3705 to intersection with Forest Road 3720, turn left; continue for approximately 0.1 mile to the trailhead parking on the right. Shelter is accessed by foot.

From Ashland, OR take Dead Indian Memorial Road (County Rd 722) for approximately 29 miles to Forest Road 37 (Big Elk Road). Turn left and continue approximately 3.1 miles to Y intersection with Forest Road 3720, and turn right. Proceed 0.1 mile to trailhead parking, located on right. Shelter is accessed by foot.
