$8 Bridge Picnic Site
This picnic area is easily accessible, as it is located directly off of a well-traveled, paved road. It is nestled between Eight Dollar Mountain and the pristine Illinois River, which flows just downslope from the picnic area. Visitors can enjoy the unique beauty of the serpentine landscape characteristic of the area, swim in the cool waters, or venture on to some of the area’s trails such as the Babyfoot Lake Rim Trail #1126, Babyfoot Lake Trail #1124A, and Kalmiopsis Rim Trail #1124.

General Information
Directions:From Grants Pass, OR, travel south on US Highway 199 (Redwood Highway) towards Cave Junction, OR. From US Highway 199 (Redwood Highway), turn right (west) onto 8 Dollar Road (Forest Road 4201). Proceed approximately 2.8 miles. Turn right into the large parking area located before the Illinois River Bridge.
