Spalding Pond


Spalding PondSpalding Pond is a 3-acre lake amid majestic, towering conifers. It has three accessible fishing platforms and a surfaced, accessible trail in a primtive setting. There is an accessible restroom and a small campground. The cool water provides welcome relief from hot valley temperatures. There is a small pebble beach for visitors to sit and enjoy the scenery from the pond's edge.

Directions:

21.5 miles southeast of Grants Pass, Oregon. From Grants Pass, OR. proceed south on Highway 199 for 18 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 25 and proceed 7.5 miles to Forest Road 2524 (Spalding Mill Road). Turn left and proceed 4.41 miles to Spalding Pond Campground.
