Frog Pond/Cameron Meadows Trail #953
The Frog Pond/Cameron Meadoes Trail is a 5.4 mile trail located within the Red Buttes Wilderness. It begins in at Cameron Meadows Trailhead at the wilderness boundary, and heads southwest through the wilderness to Cameron Meadows. From the meadows, the trail heads north through Frog Pond Gulch to meet Middle Fork National Recreation Trail #950.
With intensive trail maintenance occuring in 2016, this trail is in much better shape than it has been in recent years! Areas where the trail passes through meadows have newly (properly) relocated rock cairns to help trail users stay on the correct course. Trail users should also be aware that there may be several large logs still across the trail in places.
