Miller Creek Campground

Area Status: Closed

Miller Creek Campground is located where Miller Creek flows into Lemon Reservior. It has 12 campsites with a choice of sun or shade and easy access to the water; 5 of the sites share a large parking area. RVs can be leveled without much difficulty. The campground has a concrete boat ramp at its north end.

Services include water, trash pickup, fire grates, picnic tables, and pit toilets. Bear-safe food storage is recommended. There are no services between October and May (water, electric, trash pick up or rest rooms). Please keep them clean and pack it out.

A shady roadside picnic area has 4 tables available for day use.

Restrictions:	Quiet time is typically between 10pm - 6am. Please be a good neighbor and limit use of generators to no more than one hour at a time. Dogs must be leashed or otherwise physically restrained. Do not leave pets unattended. Check-out time: 12:00 pm; Check-in time: 2:00 pm - if the site is empty, campers may come in anytime. Standard single site occupancy is 8, but a single family with > 8 members is acceptable. Equipment with wheels (RVs, campers, cars) must fit in the parking spur. There is not any overflow parking available. Max RV size = 45 ft

General Notes:

Upper Lemon Day Use Area, a fishing access site, is located 1.5 miles north of the campground and includes a parking lot and restrooms.
Lemon Reservoir offers fantastic fishing and non-motorized boating opportunities.

Directions:

From Durango, CO: Travel about 13 miles on Florida Road (County Road 240). Continue straight on County Road 243 approximately 3.5 miles to the campground entrance.

From Bayfield, CO: Travel 9.0 miles north on County Road 501, then 3.0 miles northwest on County Road #240, and finally 3.5 miles north on County Road 243 to the campground entrance.
