General Notes:
  • Chimney Rock National Monument: Head four miles south on Colorado Highway 151 to the entrance road. Guided tours are offered in summer by the nonprofit Chimney Rock Interpretive Association. The lower tour is easy to negotiate as it follows a barrier-free interpretive trail to Ancestral Puebloan sites. The mountaintop part of the tour heads steeply uphill to a Chacoan-style Great House site.
