Jacks Creek Campground

Located in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains this 39 site campground is near the Pecos Wilderness Area, which features 160,000 acres of majestic mountain scenery, high mountain lakes and the Pecos River, and is forested with fir trees intermixed with aspens, which shimmer with golden foliage in the fall. A variety of wildlife, such as elk, mule deer, migratory birds, and other raptors inhabit the nearby Forest. Hikers find this location convenient to the popular Pecos Wilderness Areas trails which can be easily accessed from the campground.
