This area is Open

Primitive dispersed camping, 16 miles north of Pecos on NM 63, then 1 mile on FR 646.  Uses:  Camping.  Facilities:  Pit toilet, tables, and few fire pits.  No water is available.  Special Instructions:  Users are encouraged to recycle and pack out trash.  There are no fees.

In a Developed Recreation Area it is prohibited to bring in or possess an animal, other than a service animal, unless it is crated, caged, or upon a leach not longer than six feet, or otherwise under physical restrictive control. (36 CFR 261.16 (j))
