Stanley Lake Campground
Stanley Lake Campground is composed of 19 campsites including 1 double-site situated above beautiful Stanley Lake at the foot of the Sawtooth Mountains. This campsite accepts reservations which can be made by visiting www.recreation.gov or by calling (877)444-6777. The campground is situated on a hillside above the lake in a thick grove of lodgepole pines, at an elevation of 6,500 feet. Most campsites have partial shade and views of the Stanley Lake and McGowan Peak which is at an elevation of 9,860 feet. Stanley Lake offers excellent boating, waterskiing, canoeing, kayaking and fishing for rainbow, cutthroat, brook and bull trout. A boat ramp is located just outside the campground. A scenic overlook is located next to sites 3 and 4, with outstanding views of McGowan Peak and Stanley Lake. Know for is beautiful scenery, painters and photographers frequent the overlook to capture the views.

Restrictions: | Please keep pets on a leash. All occupancy (includes developed/dispersed camping, boats, boat trailers, travel trailers, tents, etc): Occupancy limit is 10 days in a 30 day period within a 30 mile radius for all of SNRA. Campers must occupy the site the first night and cannot go more than 24 hours thereafter without occupying the site. Motorized vehicles and bicycles are not allowed in any of the designated wilderness areas. |
