Federal Gulch Campground is a non-fee, non-reservation campground located on the East Fork of the Wood River. The campground is composed of 3 campsites on the East Fork of the Wood River. This area is generally accessible May through October. Campground amenities include toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. The Federal Gulch Trailhead is located at the campsite and trout fishing is available in the Wood River.

General Information


From Ketchum, go south on ID 75 approximately 6 miles to the East Fork Big Wood River/Greenhorn Gulch traffic light, then go east (left) on Forest Road #118 approximately 12 miles, through the old mining town of Triumph, along the East Fork of the Wood River, to reach Federal Gulch Campground. 

General Notes:

No public drinking water is provided at Federal Gulch Campground or within the East Fork Big Wood River drainage.
