Chaparral Campground is a non-reservation campground composed of 7 single sites and 3 double sites located on the South Fork of the Boise River. Campground amenities include 3 vault toilet restrooms, picnic tables and fire rings. Hiking, tubing, and fishing are popular activities.

Nearest potable water is located 9 miles to the east, just outside of Baumgartner Campground gates (to the south) along Forest Road #071. Water will be on until a hard freeze--usually around the end of September or first part of October. |

General Information
Directions:From Highway 20, travel north on Forest Highway 61 (Pine-Featherville Road) approximately 30 miles to the town of Featherville. From there, travel east on Forest Road 227 approximately 3 miles to Chaparral Campground.
