Devils Slide Trail 3E05
Area Status: Open

This 2.5 mile moderate trail ascends from Humber Park to Saddle Junction with many switchbacks and far reaching views. Starting at 6,400 ft. the elevation gain is 1,700 ft. From Saddle Junction, a network of trails lead to San Jacinto Peak (10,834 ft.), the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway (8,516), and Tahquitz Peak Fire Lookout (8,846 ft.). The Pacific Crest Trail passes through Saddle Junction. This is part of the San Jacinto Wilderness area. Backpacking is allowed in the Chinquapin, Skunk Cabbage, Tahquitz and North Rim zones.

Current Conditions: | Day use permits are required for all wilderness trails. Devil's Slide permits are limited on Saturdays and Sundays beginning Memorial Day weekend until Labor Day weekend.
