Summit OHV Staging Area


Area Status: Temporarily Closed

This staging area has ample parking, a few unshaded picnic tables, and trash cans.  Forest Road 3N22 south of the staging area is for Red/Green sticker OHV's and High-clearance 4WD vehicles with license plates. 3N22 connects to the Cleghorn Ridge Road 2N47.

Current Conditions: Wood and charcoal fires and stoves prohibited.
Fees: U.S. Fee Area Logo An Adventure Pass ($5/day, $30/year) or Interagency Passes are required on vehicles parked at staging area. For more information, please visit our recreation pass page.
Permit Info: California Campfire Permit is required when using propane stoves and lanterns.
Open Season: Open year-around
Restrictions: CA State Parks OHV Must have current registration and operating spark arrestor. You are required by the California Vehicle Code to have a spark arrester, maintained and in effective working order, whenever you are operating your OHV on any forest-covered land, brush-covered land, or grass-covered land.

Directions:

From Interstate 15 exit Hwy 138 and go east 3.9 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 3N22 and go 1/2 mile to staging area
