1N09 Recreational Shooting Sites

In the San Bernardino National Forest, visitors can only target shoot in designated and signed areas and only at certain times due to fire danger rating.

Target Shooting areas may be closed completely due to fire restrictions, road conditions, and/or other safety issues.

Important - Shooters must call ahead to the Activity/PAL Level number 1-909-382-2997 (pre-recorded message) to find out the status of this shooting area for that day.

Listen for Area 665:

1 & 2: Shooting all day

3: No shooting after 1pm

4 & 5: No shooting at all that day

Current Conditions:	As of 7/2/2024 Recreational Shooting has been temporarily prohibited due to Forest Order 05-12-00-24-06. Please see the Current Fire Restrictions section. High clearance vehicles are highly recommended due to severe washouts from recent storms.   Forest Service Road 1N09 is NOT an OHV route. Green Sticker and Red Sticker vehicles are NOT allowed, street legal vehicles ONLY.

Fees:	An Adventure Pass ($5/day, $30/year) or Interagency Passes are required on vehicles parked at staging area. For more information, please visit our recreation pass page.
Restrictions:	Pack out what you pack in and Leave No Trace! Visitors must call Activity/PAL Level number DAILY to see how long recreational shooting can be done.  Forest Service Road 1N09 is NOT an OHV route. Green Sticker and Red Sticker vehicles are NOT allowed, street legal vehicles ONLY.
