Located three miles north of the Lytle Creek Ranger Station, the campground provides an easy get-away. Trees surround the campsites and Lytle Creek flows across the street at Applewhite Picnic Area. Please use caution crossing the road.

Current Conditions:

New order for Fire and Recreational Shooting Restrictions

As of July 2, 2024, Forest Order No. 05-12-00-24-06, has implemented additional fire and recreational shooting restrictions. The order is in effect through Jan. 15, 2025.
 
Reservations: Reservations for available sites are available by using the widget above.
Fees: $10.00 for a Single Site, limited to 8 people and 1 vehicle. Two vehicles total allowed; second vehicle is $5.00/night. There is no overflow parking available. The fee is payable at a self-serve station at the entrance to the campground, cash or check only. CHECK-IN TIME IS 2:00 PM. CHECK-OUT TIME IS 12:00 PMthe following day. Your campground use fee allows you to walk into the Applewhite Picnic Area for day use purposes (located across the street, hours vary).

Busiest Season: Summer
Restrictions: Quiet hours are 10:00 pm - 6:00 am. Pets allowed on leash only; must clean up after your pet. Dump stations and electric/water hookups are not provided. Do not drain your wastewater onto the ground. All vehicles must park on the pavement within your site, and drive at 5 MPH speed limit (please watch for children). Operation of green or red sticker vehicles are not permitted. Maps of the Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) areas are available at the Lytle Creek Ranger Station for free. Closest OHV areas are about 20 minutes away, near Cajon Pass. Must have current registration and operating spark arrestor. You are required by the California Vehicle Code to have a spark arrester, maintained and in effective working order, whenever you are operating your OHV on any forest-covered land, brush-covered land, or grass-covered land.
