Mill Creek Campground

This small, but popular campground is near Challis and along the Custer Motorway. Nearby access for rainbow trout fishing in Mill Creek. The motorized trail to the east of the campground heads south to Bayhorse Lake campground and trail system. Eight camping units contain picnic tables and fire rings, with an additional larger site that fits group camping. The campground amenities include a vault toilet and hand pump for drinking water. No garbage collection service is available. ATV use on Forest Roads only - no riding within campground.

ACCESS PASS – Available FREE of charge to US citizens that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities.  Must be maintained in person with written proof of disability.

General Information

Directions: From Challis, turn west up main street from Highway 93. continue until pavement ends, stay right on dirt road to Custer Motorway (070). Stay on Motorway, campground is 8 miles from the pavement end (approximately 14 miles from challis), Turn left into campground entrance off of the motorway. This is part of the historic Custer Motorway; look for the interpretive signs along the road!
