Muldoon-Iron Bog Trail #4065

Muldoon-Ironbog Trail

This six mile, non-motorized trail can be accessed at two locations:

In Muldoon Canyon, the trailhead is located .25 mile up Muldoon Canyon Road #510 from the Green Lake Junction Road #511; or

at Iron Bog Trailhead at the end of Left Hand Fork Iron Bog Road #220.

The trail begins at a wide open canyon, then wanders across the creek through wet meadows.   Up Muldoon canyon there is heavier timber, a number of springs with short willows, then begins a dry, rocky section with some timber patches. The trail swings south, then east, and follows a flat, rocky bench with scattered limber pine for about 1/2 mile before dropping to Iron Bog Lake. The traveler should watch for deer, moose and beaver on this trail.
