Wambaw Creek Wilderness Canoe Trail
Wambaw Creek is a peaceful, wilderness blackwater creek flowing through majestic cypess-tupelo stands. Abundant opportunities exist to view wildlife like prothonotary warblers, swallow-tailed kites and river otters. Paddlers can travel either direction from Still Landing or Echaw Road. The creek is tidal and changes occur about three hours later than times posted for Charleston Harbor.
