Rocky Branch Seasonal Campground

Area Status: Closed

Rocky Branch Seasonal Campground offers a more primitive experience with ten sites for campers. The surrounding forest environment provides an opportunity for many recreational activities such as wildlife and plant observation, fishing, hiking, and photography. Abundant wildlife populations provide some of the most desirable hunting areas in the upstate.

Operational Hours: Rocky Branch Seasonal Campground is availage for first come, first serve camping from September 12 - January 3. Rocky Branch Seasonal Campgound is also available the month of April for turkey season.

Restrictions: Quiet time is 10 p.m.– 6 a.m. Care should be taken in the woods during big-game season. Wear blaze orange.

Information Center: Rocky Branch is available during the month of April for turkey season and September-December for deer season.

Directions:

 

From Interstate 26 and Highway 34 (exit 74 off interstate): Take Highway 34 east towards Winnsboro 16.2 miles. Turn left onto Cooper Holmes Rd., Forest Service Road 412, and drive 1.6 miles to campground entrance on left.      

From junction Hwy. 72 and Hwy. 215:  Drive south on Hwy. 215, 13.3 miles. Turn right onto Cooper Holmes Rd., (Little River Presbyterian Church is on corner) Forest Service Road  412, and drive 2.2 miles to campground entrance on right.
