Poulous Loop Group Camp
Poulous Loop Group offers a rustic camp setting ideal for exploring the area's hunting opportunities. The surrounding forest environment sustains abundant wildlife populations, making it one of the most desirable hunting areas in the state. Families, churches and clubs might like to reserve the camp for reunions, get togethers and campouts. Other recreation opportunities in the area include trail riding, birding and wildlife viewing, berry picking and photography. Nearby, try your hand at fishing the Broad River at the Woods Ferry Picnic Area.
Poulous Loop Group Camp is available year-round for reservations on recreation.gov. This camp is reservable as a group site; for 1-29 people the nightly cost is $30 and for 30-100 people the nightly cost is $60. Poulous Loop is available for reservation 12 months out.

Restrictions: | Checkout time is 2 p.m. All camping equipment must be removed from the campground on the closing date shown on the permit or the permit holder will be fined and charged for abandoned property. Place only refuse in trash cans. Quiet time is 10 p.m.– 6 a.m. Care should be taken in the woods during big-game season. Wear blaze orange. |

General Information
Directions:Poulous Loop is located off of State Rd 535, which is accessible from Woods Ferry Rd, just off of Highway 9 south of Lockhart. It is just north of Woods Ferry Recreation Area.

Horse Camping
Woods Ferry Horse Trail can be accessed from Poulous Loop by following FS Road 301F to the trail junction. Horses must be highlined, hitched to a hitching rail, or stalled in portable corrals or other devices so they can't chew on trees.
