32E39-The Bull Run trail begins at the end of Cow Creek Road (24S25) approximately 1 mile north of the Greenhorn Summit on Forest Hwy 90, and ends at Black Mountain. The trail is open for the following uses: Horseback Riding, Motorcycle Trail Riding, hiking, and mountain biking.

Restrictions: Forest Hwy 90 is subject to closure during snowy winter months. Check with the local Ranger Station for current road conditions.

General Information


This trail descends Cow Creek and to Bull Run Creek, turns upstream and climbs gently 1-1/2 miles to Bull Run Basin. A moderate climb up a ridge ends at road 24S35. Pine and oak line the creek with brushy slopes above. There is trout fishing in the creek, but it is not stocked.
