Bull Run Trail

32E39-The Bull Run trail begins at the end of Cow Creek Road (24S25) approximately 1 mile north of the Greenhorn Summit on Forest Hwy 90, and ends at Black Mountain. The trail is open for the following uses: Horseback Riding, Motorcycle Trail Riding, hiking, and mountain biking.

This trail is closed pursuant to Sequoia National Forest Order #0513-16-28 until August 1, 2017, due to the effects of the Cedar Fire (2016).


Directions:

This trail descends Cow Creek and to Bull Run Creek, turns upstream and climbs gently 1-1/2 miles to Bull Run Basin. A moderate climb up a ridge ends at road 24S35. Pine and oak line the creek with brushy slopes above. There is trout fishing in the creek, but it is not stocked.
