Fish Your National Forests: This site can be accessed by Passenger Car; Fish available include: Bass, Catfish, Panfish; Types of fishing available include: Wade, Shore, Motorized boat, Float tube, Fly, Spin, Bait, Ice; ADA Accessible fishing access with fishing pier and boat launch.

Restrictions: Anglers must not use more than 2 poles and each pole must not have  more than 2 hoos or lures attached while fishing. Limits:  For site specific sportfishing regulations pleae refer to the current Illinois fishing regulations. Motor Restrictions:  Motor use limited to maximum of ten horsepower.
Information Center: There are no camping sites located at the lake.  The lake offers public swimming. Species Present:  Bluegill-Largemouth Bass-Channel Catfish-Crappie. Seasons:  Open year round. Vehicle Access:  Paved roads provide excellent access to this Jackson County lake located approximately 4 miles southwest of Carbondale. Boat Access:  Two good boat launches provide boat access to the lake.

Directions:

From Murphysboro: Take Highway 127 south 10 miles to Boat Dock Road. Turn east (left) onto Boat Dock Rd., continue 0.8 mile to the trailhead.

From Jonesboro: Take Highway 146 west 2.5 miles, to Hwy 127, then north 12 miles on Hwy 127 to Boat Dock Road. Turn east (right) onto Boat Dock Rd., continue 0.8 mile to the trailhead.
