Fresno Dome Campground

Area Status: Closed

Located on Boggy Meadow adjacent to Big Creek, Fresno Dome Campground is conveniently located near the Fresno Dome trail which provides wonderful views of the San Joaquin Valley and surrounding mountains. Fir and Pine trees provides shaded sites and all sites have grills, tables and fire rings. Access to campground is paved and dirt. There is a campground host on site. Please deposit trash at entrance to campground.

General Information

Directions: Take Hwy 41 north from Fresno; continue thru Oakhurst to Sky Ranch Road (6S10 or Forest Road 10) travel 11.5 miles; road forks, take left fork towards Fresno Dome. Travel 1.7 miles turn left to enter campground.

Day Hiking

If you visit this area make sure to take the short hike to Fresno Dome Travel 2.6 miles from the campground to the Trailhead. Turn right on 6S10c 1/10 of mile to start of trailhead. Look for bulletin board on left side at road. 30 minutes, one way to top of trail. Easy/Moderate trail to base of Fresno Dome. Steep; Rocky trail to top of Dome. Fresno Dome Trailhead: Travel 2.6 miles, and turn right on 6S10C, and go 0.1 mile to start of trailhead. Look for bulletin board on left side at road.
