Black Point National Recreation Trail

  

The Black Point National Recreation Trail is 0.6 miles long. It begins at Black Point Trailhead 8s32 and ends at Black Point. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking

Northwest of Huntington Lake, the Black Point trail is a moderate 1/2 mile hike offering spectacular views of the Kaiser Crest, San Joaquin Canyon as well as, Huntington and Shaver Lakes.

To reach the trail, take Huntington Lake Road west to Road 8S32 (about a mile past the dam).  Follow 8S32 approximately 4 miles to the Black Point trailhead.

Road Surface is Paved to road 8S32, changing to a dirt road to the Black Point trailhead.
