Mammoth Pool Campground
Mammoth Pool Campground is located half a mile from the recreation area at Mammoth Pool Reservoir. This primitive campground winds through a stand of Ponderosa pine and cedar trees along the San Joaquin River in the midst of a mountainous landscape. Campsites are located near Mammoth Pool. Each site has a table, grill and fire ring. Firewood is sold at the campground. There is a trail to lake and a boat launch nearby. There are no lake view sites or sites on lake.
Mammoth Pool Campground is located near the Ansel Adams Wilderness, known for its jagged peaks, including 13,157-foot Mt. Ritter, and numerous lakes and streams.

Restrictions: | Maximum length of stay = 14 days Maximum vehicle length = 30 feet Reservations must be made three days in prior to arrival. There is a two night minimum stay on weekends and a three night minimum stay on holidays. Mammoth Pool Reservoir is closed to fishing and boating from May 1st to June 16th. Fishing is also prohibited in the lake and 300 feet above the high water mark in ALL tributaries during this time. |

General Information
Directions:From Fresno take Hwy 41 north to Road 200. Turn right and travel east to North Fork. Continue through North Fork on the Minarets Road (Forest Road 81) for 37 miles to the Mammoth Pool Road, turn right, travel 4 miles to the campground.
General Notes:
Services: Wagner's Resort offers campgin, food, gas, phone and fishing supplies. This the only gas on the Minarets Road. No showers or RV hookups.
