Lupine Cedar Bluff Campground


Area Status: Open

Campsites are located adjacent to Bass Lake. This campground has two separate listings, Lupine and Cedar Bluff.  Area has dense pine, oak and cedar trees. Sites have good shade. Some camp sites are located on moderate slopes.

Services available at the Forks and Millers Landing Resorts. Check in at Bass Lake Campground office before proceeding to campground (located at west end of the lake near Recreation Point).  No showers or RV hookups toilets handicap accessible.

Beginning in 2009, Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) will begin a seismic retrofit project to strengthen the Crane Valley Dam at Bass Lake.  The project will require that lake levels be lowered ten feet from normal summer operations.  The project is expected to be completed in late 2010 or mid 2011.  For more information visit the PG&E website.

For the reservable sites, there is a two night minimum stay on weekends and a three night minimum stay on holidays.

Directions:

From Highway 41, take Bass Lake turnoff (Road 222), head southeast approximately 3.5 miles to the Bass Lake CLM office. Continue approximately 2.75 miles to the Lupine Cedar Bluff Campground.

There is a nature hike each Thursday at the Way of the Mono Trail, Adjacent to Bass Lake.

Visitor Programs

California Land Management sponsors a variety of interpretive programs throughout the summer at several locations in the Bass Lake area.  The scheduled programs are posted at the Bass Lake office and at campgrounds in the Bass Lake area.
