This is the trailhead for Drift Creek Falls Trail #1378.

At a Glance

Current Conditions: 09/9/2021: Visitors going to Drift Creek Falls will need to access the trailhead from the North via Highway 18. Forest Service Road (FSR) 17, near Drift Creek Falls, is closed indefinitely at the junction of FSR 1790 with a landslide blocking its path. Crews will be working to stabilize the terrain in the coming months.

Expect limited or no services. Be prepared to pack out all waste.

Passes: A valid Recreation Pass is required at Drift Creek Falls Trailhead. You can buy an ePass (Day Pass) or an annual Northwest Forest Pass online before you go!

Directions:

Highway 101 entry – Off Highway 101 south of Lincoln City, north of Salishan:
Travel east on Drift Creek Road, right on South Drift Creek Road 1/4 mile. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 17. Stay on Forest Service Road 17 to trailhead, approximately 10 miles. (This route is currently inaccessible due to a landslide near the junction of Forest Service Road 17 and 1790 Updated: March 3, 2021)

Highway 101/Highway 18 entry:
At Highway 101 and Highway 18 junction, travel east 4.5 miles on Hwy 18. Travel south on Bear Creek County Road 3.5 miles. Continue 7 miles on Forest Service Road 17 to trailhead.
