Trees may have been weakened from fire damage and ongoing drought and may fall at any time.
Stay on designated roads and trails and within opened areas.

Avoid the area during high winds or heavy rain.

General Information

Directions:
  1. From the Groveland Ranger Station, travel 5 miles east on State Highway 120.
  2. Turn left onto Cherry Lake Road (1N07).
  3. Stay left at intersection with Mather Road (1S02) and continue to bottom of Tuolumne River canyon.
  4. After crossing the river, stay left and travel 1 mile.
  5. Turn left onto 1S23Y.
  6. Continue 1/2 mile and park in gravel parking area on left before crossing bridge. Please do not park in the area immediately to the left of the kiosk where whitewater boaters launch their rafts or kayaks.
  7. Start of trail is located immediately across bridge on left side of road.
