Fees: $30.00 per night
Restrictions: Maximum Length of Stay - 48 hours
Closest Towns: Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, camping supplies are available in Bear Valley and at Lake Alpine Lodge. Public (fee) showers available at Lake Alpine Lodge.

Passes: America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes and Golden Age/Golden Access passes accepted for reduced nightly camping fees in single sites.

Activities

Campground Camping

Lake Alpine provides a wide variety of recreation opportunities, including low-speed boating (boat launch available) fishing, hiking, and biking. Interpretive Programs are offered by Forest Service rangers during the summer months.

Visitor Programs

A variety of programs are offered in the summer for both children and adults. Most programs are held at the nearby Marmot Day Use (Picnic) Area. Offerings include guided walks, campfire programs, live wildlife presentations, a fish-printing craft activity, and programs designed for children ages 4 to 12 including Junior Rangers, animal tracking, aquatic life exploration, forest exploration, and Native American crafts and games. Please visit the Outdoor Learning page for program guides and a calendar of events.
