Spicer Reservoir

Timbered setting on the shore of Spicer Reservoir. Tables, fireplaces, food preparation area, primitive amphitheater, and parking for group use. Close to reservoir, however boat ramp is about a mile away.

Current Conditions: Calaveras Ranger District (HWY 4) Campgrounds are closed. 
Operational Hours: Spicer Reservoir and Spicer Group campgrounds are closed. 
Reservations: Camping is on a first come - first served basis.  Reservations are taken for the Group Camp Only. Reservations for the group camp are taken beginning at 9:00am on Jan. 1 of each year. Contact Sierra Recreation Managers for group camp reservations at (209) 296-8895. Contact the Calaveras Ranger District at (209) 795-1381​ for questions about road damage and accessibility.
Closest Towns: Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, and camping supplies are available in Arnold, Camp Connell, and Bear Valley.

Passes: America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes and Golden Age/Golden Access passes accepted, reduces camping fee to half-price per night for the individual sites only.
