Timbered setting on the shore of Spicer Reservoir. Covered shelter with tables and group cooking area; fireplaces, primitive amphitheater, and parking for group use. Close to reservoir, however boat ramp is about a mile away.

Spicer Reservoir Group Campground is operated by Sierra Recreation Management.

Reservations: Reservations for the group camp are taken beginning at 9:00am on Jan. 1 of each year. Contact Sierra Recreation Managers for group camp reservations at (209) 296-8895. Contact the Calaveras Ranger District at (209) 795-1381​ for questions about road damage and accessibility.

Closest Towns: Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, and camping supplies are available in Arnold, Camp Connell, and Bear Valley.

Group Camping

Timbered setting on the shore of Spicer Reservoir. Tables, fireplaces, food preparation area, primitive amphitheater, and parking for group use. Close to reservoir, however boat ramp is about a mile away. May accommodate up to 50 feet for R.V.'s. For road conditions, contact the Calaveras Ranger District (209) 795-1381.
