Inspiration Point Trail

The trail starts out on level ground as the Lakeshore Trail; in about .4 mile the Inspiration Point Trails branches off to the left and climbs steeply to the top of the ridge. The rewards for hiking this trail are stunning views of Lake Alpine to the north, an expansive granite basin to the south with Union and Utica Reservoirs nestled in it, and the Dardanelles Cone lava flow in the distance. 1.4 miles one-way.
