General Information
Directions:From the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California, travel 33 miles east on Highway 4. Trailhead is at the back of the Silvertip Campground , located 2.3 miles east of Bear Valley on Highway 4 and just east of the intersection with State Route 207 (road to Bear Valley Ski Area).
If you are not camping at Silvertip Campground, park in the Lake Alpine Sno-Park lot on Highway 4, just outside the campground (Sno-Park permit required November 1 to May 31). You may also park at the Alpine Bypass Trail trailhead, 1/4 mile east on Highway 4; take this trail west .4 miles to reach the Osborne Ridge Trail.
