Along Highway 120 at the South Fork Tuolumne River bridge. Originally a toll stop in the stagecoach days, later a popular resort until 1958 when fire burned the resort. Now, a popular picnic area. Vault toilets, limited parking.

Current Conditions: Groveland Ranger District (HWY 120) No alcoholic beverages or overnight camping. No garbage service; pack it in, pack it out. 
Operational Hours: Day Use Area only
Fees: American Land & Leisure operates Rainbow Pools Day Use during the summer (typically May through September) and charges the following fee: $10.00 per car 

American Land & Leisure operates this area under a special use permit administered by the Forest Service. The fees paid by concessionaires finance the refurbishment of facilities in the campgrounds they operate.
Restrictions: No overnight camping. Pets must be on a leash. Alcoholic beverages prohibited.

Picnicking

Fire Information Campfire permits are not required within developed day use sites; however, campfires are limited to the grills provided. Campfire permits are required if you plan to build a campfire or use a camp stove outside a recreational vehicle away from a developed campground. Permits are free and may be obtained at the Groveland Ranger District.
