At a Glance

Current Conditions: Mi Wok Ranger District (HWY 108).  Campground is open.
Operational Hours: Pack it in, Pack it out. Extinguish all campfires with water.  
Reservations: First come, first serve. No reservations can be made for Sand Bar Flat Campground.
Fees $12.00 per night for single site, $24 per night for double site.  Interagency Senior and Interagency Access Passes Honored: The Interagency Senior and Access Passes Provide a 50 percent discount on camping fees.  Pass number must be written on fee envelope. The Interagency Annual and Volunteer passes do not provide any discounts on camping.  
Permit Info: If you wish to use a stove, grill, or have a campfire it is recommended, but not required, that you get a campfire permit.  This FREE Permit can be obtained at preventwildfiresca.org or at any ranger station. Do not burn plastic or metal. Please leave the area in as good (or better) condition than you found it.
Open Season: April 15 - December 15
Usage: Light-Medium
Restrictions: Max length for RV/Trailers - 35ft.  Road is NOT ADVISABLE for large RVs and trailers. The winding road is steep, narrow and is not paved past Fraser Flat Campground. Camp in designated sites only. The number of people permitted in a single campsite is six. The maximum length of stay in any campground is 14 days.
