1.4 mile (one-way) trail along the South Fork of the Tuolumne River into the Yosemite Wilderness Area to Carlon Falls. Use Ackerson Mountain topographic quad map.

Current Conditions: Groveland Ranger District (HWY 120)- Vehicle access may be difficult due to seasonal road closures and snowy conditions. No services available at any trailhead. PACK IT IN, PACK IT OUT, PLEASE! For a list of seasonally closed roads view the Stanislaus National Forest's Motor Vehicle Use Maps. Please use caution while in the Rim Fire burned area.

Fees: The facility will be operated under a concession, and fees will be collected starting in April of 2022. 
Restrictions: No pets or mountain bicycles are allowed within the Yosemite Wilderness Area. No overnight camping at the trailhead or along the trail allowed.
Closest Towns: Buck Meadows and Groveland
Water: No water faucets available at trailhead
Restroom: Vault toilets available at picnic areas adjacent to trailhead
