Large, open area with scattered timber and rock outcrops. North Fork Mokelumne River nearby. There are eight metal campfire rings; campfires are permited in metal campfire rings only. No trash service - pack it in, pack it out.

5.4 miles west of Ebbetts Pass summit on Highway 4.

From the Calaveras Ranger Station in Hathaway Pines, California, head east on Highway 4 for about 43 miles.

Large, flat area for RVs. Area is unpaved so surface can be rough. Highway access to the campground is very steep, narrow, and winding; vehicles over 25 feet are not advisable. Contact the Calaveras Ranger District for conditions (209) 795-1381.
