Timbered setting on the shore of Spicer Reservoir. Tables, fireplaces, food preparation area, primitive amphitheater, and parking for group use. Close to reservoir, however boat ramp is about a mile away.

Current Conditions: Calaveras Ranger District (HWY 4)-Campground is gated with no water or services, but will be usable for walk-in camping until weather permits.
Reservations: Camping is on a first come - first served basis.  Reservations are taken for the Group Camp Only. Reservations for the group camp are taken beginning at 9:00am on Jan. 1 of each year. Contact Sierra Recreation Managers for group camp reservations at (209) 296-8895. Contact the Calaveras Ranger District at (209) 795-1381‚Äč for questions about road damage and accessibility.
Fees $24 for individual site; $140.00 for group site.  6 people/2 vehicles per campsite.  $5 for an additional car.
Closest Towns: Emergency medical services available at the Arnold Medical Clinic in the Meadowmont Shopping Center in Arnold, or at Mark Twain St. Joseph's Hospital in San Andreas (Highway 49). Gas, groceries, and camping supplies are available in Arnold, Camp Connell, and Bear Valley.

Group Camping

Spicer Reservoir offers low-speed boating (boat launch available), and excellent fishing, hiking, and equestrian opportunities. The northern arm of the lake, adjacent to the Carson-Iceberg Wilderness, is managed for non-motorized recreation (canoe and kayak) opportunities.
